Nichole Melton, RN is our latest Daisy Awardee! Nichole works in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day. Sky Lakes recognizes one of our extraordinary nurses with this special honor each quarter. Nurses are nominated for the DAISY Award by patients, their families and friends.
Nichole was nominated by a family and a family member was present to read the nomination during Nichole’s award ceremony.
Nichole’s nomination was:
“Nichole cared for my dad and family during a week plus stay in June. Nichole displayed great leadership in coordinating his needs with the doctors as his medical situation changed during his stay. She was instrumental in moving things forward with Resource Management, in looking at what his needs would be after leaving the hospital. Nichole was a joy to talk with and help understand what was going on with him medically. Sky Lakes is fortunate to have her on staff and we are fortunate she is a part of the Klamath community. Nichole is a great leader and part of an outstanding nursing/CNA staff.
