Physical Therapy
Anne Davenport was born and raised in North Carolina but has lived and traveled within 46 of the United States and abroad, including Mexico, Canada, Western Europe, the United Kingdom, and Scandanavia. She moved to Klamath Falls with her husband and black lab in 2021. In addition to working as an acute care physical therapist at Sky Lakes Medical Center, she serves in several positions locally, at the state and national level. In all professional endeavors, Anne acts with a clear objective to “use research, technology, and interdisciplinary partnerships to address systemic barriers to optimal health and aging.” She is the Program Manager for Health Promotion Services at the Klamath Basin Senior Citizens’ Center, where she delivers evidence-based health promotion and fall prevention programming, serves as the liaison to community-based organizations, and manages the Center’s digital presence. She completed her physical therapy training at Duke University following a professional pivot from film and television production design. She instructs at the Doctor of Physical Therapy programs of Oregon Institute of Technology and Duke University. She currently serves as the Chair of the Oregon Fall Prevention Coalition and leads the American Physical Therapy Association Acute Care systematic review and clinical practice guideline on Hospital Mobility Protocols. She loves to spend time on the trails with her family, training for her next endurance run, eating a plant-based diet while supporting local restaurants and farmers, creating art, and reading the Smithsonian magazine.
