Sky Lakes Dermatology Clinic offers care for common and complex dermatologic concerns, including:
Skin cancer screening and treatment
Early detection is one of the most important parts of skin cancer care. Our team evaluates suspicious moles, changing and non-healing lesions and can recommend the right next step, including biopsy, removal or additional treatment.
We provide care for common types of skin cancer, including:
Mohs surgery for skin cancer
Mohs surgery is a specialized skin cancer treatment that removes cancerous tissue layer by layer while preserving as much healthy skin as possible. Dermatologists may recommend Mohs surgery for certain skin cancers, especially in cosmetically or functionally sensitive areas such as the face, ears, nose, lips, scalp, hands or neck. The American Academy of Dermatology notes that Mohs has a high cure rate and removes the least amount of skin needed to treat the cancer.
Acne treatment, including isotretinoin/Accutane
Acne can affect confidence, comfort, and long-term skin health. We treat mild, moderate and severe acne with personalized plans that may include topical medications, oral medications, hormonal options or isotretinoin, commonly known by the former brand name Accutane.
Isotretinoin is a prescription medication used for severe acne, including deep, painful cysts and nodules, and may be considered when other treatments have not worked. Patients taking isotretinoin require careful evaluation and monitoring.
Eczema and dermatitis care
Eczema, also called atopic dermatitis, can cause dry, itchy, inflamed or cracked skin. Our dermatology team can help identify triggers, reduce flare-ups and create a treatment plan that may include skin care routines, prescription creams, or other therapies.
Psoriasis treatment
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that can cause thick, scaly plaques, itching, discomfort, and sometimes joint symptoms. Treatment may include topical medications, light-based therapies, systemic medications, or coordination with other specialists when needed.
Rashes, lesions and other skin concerns
We also evaluate and treat many other dermatology concerns, including:
