The Family Birth Center recently unveiled the Austin Staub Memorial Garden. The garden is located at the Family Birth Center and is accessible to patients and staff. This garden is dedicated in memorial to Austin Staub, who was born with a genetic abnormality and lived only 23 hours. While at the FBC, Austin’s father, Nick, took Austin outside to an unused space outside Lexie’s, Austin’s mother, room to see the world for the brief time Austin was alive. Donations from many, including the Staub family and Family Birth Center nurses converted that unused space into a healing space.
Family Birth Center nurses will be at the Farmer’s Market Saturday September 11, 2021 to raise funds for our perinatal loss program and the Austin Staub Memorial Garden.
